Black and White infrared landscape photography creates a unique atmosphere. The strong contrast, the blue tones of the sky that are transferred into shades of black, and the accentuation of minute white clouds turn skies into "skyscapes" that are hardly noticed by the human eye. The singular look is enhanced by the "Wood effect", where green tree leaves appear as white foliage in infrared photos.

What makes a photo a good portrait? Catching the right moment, the look, or the emotion? Giving context, a person in their "happy place", their home, in nature, alone or with friends or family?

For me, the subject of a portrait needs to feel comfortable when looking at their photos, they should like themselves, and remember the photo shoot as a positive experience.
